After his critically acclaimed performance in Mira Nair’s The Namesake, Irrfan Khan will do another film with the lady director.
The film – titled Kosher Vegetarian – will have Irrfan playing a vegetarian Gujarati guy who meets a beautiful Jewish girl, to be played by Natalie Portman.
The film will reportedly explore the chemistry between these two people, from distinct cultures and backgrounds.
Natalie is an Israeli-American actress, who has won a Golden Globe award for her supporting role in Closer. She also got an Oscar nomination for the same role.
Irrfan says what excites him the most about Kosher Vegetarian is that he gets to work again with Mira Nair, whose indefatigable spirit Irrfan admires a lot.
