Reports say Los Angeles-based Indian restaurateur Sanjay Patel is planning to produce the English version of the 1969 Hindi movie, Khamoshi, starring Waheeda Rahman, Dharmendra and Rajesh Khanna.
The film tells the story of a nurse in a mental asylum, who falls in love with her two patients, but herself goes mad after her love remain unrequited.
Patel says in a report that Aniston is a regular visitor at his LA restaurant Bollywood Bites, and once he narrated the story of Khamoshi to her. The actress was very moved by the story and asked for a bound script.
Patel is now said to be working on the film’s script and is looking forward to sign some top Hollywood stars to play the male leads in the movie, which he has tentatively titled Silence.
The English version will stick to the basic plot of Khamoshi but will incorporate certain changes to flesh out some of the characters.
