We haven’t seen her for quite some time now. After a debacle called Nishabd, she just vanished. So, where has Jiah Khan been hiding all these days?
“I haven’t been hiding. Just waiting for Ghajini to start. I had no reason to be in the news. I don’t go out to party. Not that I’m a recluse, but at this age, I don’t want to get unnecessarily influenced by the wrong kind of people.” Wow!
So, does she think she’s a misfit in Bollywood?
“Not at all. I’ve had no problems fitting in,” says Jiah.
Any regrets as far as her career is concerned?
“No regrets. After Nishabd, I waited for the right opportunity. For Aamir Khan’s film, I did an audition. It was a long process. But at the end of the day, it’s a fantastic role. Aamir has given me a completely different look!”
Jiah’s currently working with two generations of stars – Aamir Khan and Shahid Kapoor – in two different films.
“And if you consider the fact that I started my career with Mr Amitabh Bachchan as my hero, I’ve got three generations of remarkably talented co-stars in my first three films. I’m lucky!”
