Director Karan Johar has reportedly bought the rights of Hollywood movie Stepmom, which starred Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts. The movie follows the life of one woman who marries a man with children and must deal with the ex-wife who is very much a part of the kids’ lives.
Also, he has roped in Kajol and Kareena Kapoor to essay the roles played by Susan and Julia in Stepmom.
Karan Johar will begin filming the Stepmom remake after he is done with My Name is Khan.
The movie, directed by Siddharth Malhotra, is also going to bring Kajol and Kareena Kapoor back together for a second time after 2001′s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Stepmom tells the story of a divorced couple (Sarandon and Ed Harris) trying to keep their children happy after their separation.
Things get complicated, when the husband’s girlfriend (Julia Roberts) enters the scene, wanting to be part of the family, and the wife is diagnosed with cancer.

Indian movies,especially bollywood movies are far behind than hollywood.Now a days its becomes a trend to copy hollywood flicks.
Karan Johar did select a good script for his new movie.. but I don’t agree with him in selecting the hero/heroine for his movies.. he always want Kajol and Shahrukh.. I don’t know why?!!!!!!!
And Kajol doesn’t fit in the ex-wife role.. in susan’s role, but Karina is perfect for Julia’s role as well as Priyanka.. Priyanka too fits for this role.
I think the best actress to play Susan’s role is: Preity Zinta
And.. who’s playing the husband? The husband has to be in the middle aged.. e.g. Aamir, Shahrukh, Akshay or Saif.. I think Akshay & Saif, both fit to play the husband role
kajol is perfect for susan sarandon role.. priyanka is nothing..
