Ravi: Which way do they select an Indian movie for the int’l awards? I mean, do the team of Bollywood present their best movies which they think one of them might win the award and then the judges of hollywood would select what they think it’s the best?
I think the most indian movie which deserves Oscar this year is Taare Zameen Par.
I was sorry that the movie “water” didn’t win the oscar although it was a very good movie, it portrayed the life of widows in 40′s and the direction was very good including the performance of both John & Liza Ray ( I really admire her) she’s beautiful and very talented but she’s not doing lots of movies in Bollywood, do u know why? And she fits with Shahrukh.
@Fathiya – Yes. Indian filmmakers send their product to the Academy members and only after their approval, the movie is selected.
Taare Zameen Par is indeed an Oscar material
I also liked Water. Lisa Ray is mostly into international cinema and that’s why we don’t see her much in Bollywood.
i think SARKAR RAJ is wonderful choice oscar nomination bcoz it deserve .Wel, i ve seen TZP also bt i would like 2go with SARKAR RAJ.
